Worker Suffers Traumatic Leg Injury On The Job
This week, it was announced that federal workplace safety officials have decided to move forward with an investigation after an employee at a Wilkes-Barre company suffered a serious leg injury. The company the employee works for specializes in creating stages for large events.
Allegedly, while the employee was working, a large beam or pipe was being transported by machinery when it became loose and fell on top of the worker.
Following the workplace accident, paramedics arrived at the business location in response to a reported "traumatic event". The worker had to be transported to a local hospital and was placed in the trauma unit. At this time, officials are not releasing the worker's name or discussing the nature of his injuries.
